Friday

Oh it`s friday... You sure?

Apparently it`s friday today. I think it`s going to be a very chill friday.. But maybe the kids are coming, then it will be the opposite :)

Any of those outcomes are good with me. The bad thing is that i`m brewing on some kind of weird sickness that doesn`t want to bloom but doesn`t go away either, maybe it`ll stay forever. Hope it`s gone by tomorrow, if not monday is also fine by me!

Any hints, tips or tricks to get rid of a difficult cold? Yes please!!

Weird it is..

Indeed.

I mentioned last night that I got the job at the bar. So guess what happends first thing this morning....

I get a call from a place I used to work at earlier asking if I was interested in coming down to have a talk with them about taking some shifts there! I did actually apply there a while ago just to see if there was any chance, apparently there was! But isn`t that just how the world rolls? First you really want something and you`re unable to get anywhere near it for several months, or at least a very long time. Then when things finally loosen up you suddenly find yourself with more than enough! It`s really nice I must say!

So it looks like I`m going to have enough things to keep up with :)

Yey me.

Camilla

I got the job ;)

Oh yes I did!

Soon I`ll be seen at nighttime, cleaning tables and washing glasses! And I will also spend some time behind the bar.

Awesome! And drunk people be aware: NO FUNNYBISSNISS! Hehe

Old story of lethal stairs

Before I moved in with my guy I used to live in an apartment with two floors. It was nice, felt spacier and also I knew the landlord. A good thing especially seeing that we lived in the same house, with the same front door, sharing the hallway. Anywhoo, this apartment had a lethal set of stairs.

You kow those stairs that lead up to the attic or down to the basement in old houses? The kind that looks like Mount Everest when you look up at it from the bottom? And when you`re on the top, looking down and "manning up" to try your luck, you really think you`re gonna die when you hit the last step. But hey, you gotta reach the bathroom before you wet yourself right? They truly were the stairs from hell.

Well every morning the first thing I had to do was to get down those stairs safely. Easier said than done. You see, I`m extremy sleepy the first minutes after waking up so it`s not a good idea to even talk to me. One morning I had to hurry down to get dressed, believe I was going to work, so I was still halfway dreaming when I took the first step on the stairs. It was all well and I was ready to congratulate myself but then I reached the third final step. With my luck I managed to slip on that step and land on my back in the stairs. I thought to myself "well at least I made it down" and shrugged it off and got to my feet.

Ufortunately I had to go down another miniature set of stairs to get to my bathroom. These stairs only had two steps if I remember correctly. So there I was thiking that the danger had passed and I could safely move on and get o with my day. I was wrong. Clumsy as I am I fell down those stairs too. I ended up lying on the floor in front of my bathroom door, afraid to move a muscle. I was convinced I had died, or at the very least become fatally injured. Hehe I know it`s not logic but I was still in zombie-land.

I laid there for what must have been a couple of minutes before I dared to try to move any part of my body. Part by part I realised that I had lived and was actually perfectly fine, not a scratch! But in that moment when I was on the floor I was certain that my life had ended. Death by stairs. Stairs with two steps that is.

Have you ever had such a moment?

Today

Today is a little bit special :)

First off I`m going to clean our apartment, it has come to my knowledge that evidently you have to clean once in a while?, so I guess I`ll just have to pull my own neck and get to it.

Later however is when the exciting bit of the day starts.. I have a job interview! Yes, terrifying. Exciting. Nervewrecking. And so on.It`s for a position as barhelp at a local pub here, a very brown pub, which I actually like somewhat :) So I really hope that goes well and that they want me to start tomorrow! Or some day in the near future at the least. Very ready to get a job again... You`ve had those moments right? When you think that people with a lot of free time are really lucky and should be insanely happy because "they don`t have to go to work"? I`ll just put this in your head right now, it is NOT fun at all.. Ofcourse it`s nice to sleep in every now and then, but you really get the feeling that life is moving past you and your world`s at a stand still.

So crossing my toes, lips and hair that they like me..

And also my guy has been visiting his swedish family in Gothenburg and has been there for a week now, so I`m very ready to get him home tonight :D Hence the "cleaning-apartment" endeavour.

Too cute!

They`re too cute!

Poker it is.

Hehe yeah I play poker some nigths, and for me it has to be with money in the pot. Playing poker without a prize is pointless to me. Unfortunately I live in a country that does not allow gambling in any form unless it`s regulated by the state and run by stateowned companies. Ths means that the only gambling allowed here is betting on horseraces, soccer, the lotteries and the likes. We do not have any casinos...

What`s absurd about this country and it`s laws on gambling? Where do I begin...

If you go abroad, to a country where poker is legal, and say you win some money, you still have to PAY TAXES off of it! Taxes to a country where it is illegal to make money off non-statecontrolled gambling. It`s outrageus.... Hypocrisy is what it is called I believe. What are your views here? I can`t understand this.

It gives the impression that as long as the state makes money off of it, it`s legal. If the state can`t make money on it, forget it. But if YOU make money gambling in a country where it`s legal, the state still wants a piece of your cake. Our state is greedy. But hey we`ve got free healthcare right?

I would really like to read your opinion on this...

So that was a rant... Sorry.

Done with the coffee..

We went to this very nice place called "Lyst" (Lust). They have a beautiful backyard, very peaceful and relaxing to sit there with friends, boyfriends or just by yourself. They`ve decorated it with really nice things, some old, some new, quite a nice mix!

I love this original way of using old stuff giving it a new purpose.

There is also an "upstairs" outside where you, if you`re very lucky, can catch some lifegiving rays of sun :D Joy!

It`s kind of a coffeebar/restaurant/bar kind of place with very good food indeed. Although I must say that the combination of moccha and chocolatecake was a bad idea... ugg....

Hey I`m actually on one of the photos! Doesn`t really happen that often seeing as I am often the photographer.

Silje, the way she wanted to introduce herself to you. Well, cute.

We just got back to my place where we`re just relaxing some more :)
